Running a blogger event - tonnes of people in large building

As a business, running a blogger event might be worth considering for a number of reasons.

If you’re a blogger, then you may get invites to events or launches from time to time. And if you’re a business, then understanding the impact of blogger or influencer events can be really worth your time.

With bloggers having a specific and targeted audience, you can use them to help advertise and market your product, brand, business or services. Which is why introducing bloggers to your brand and getting them to share some coverage online can be really handy.

But how can you make the most of your blogger event? It can cost some money to put it together, so you need to make sure that it’s going to be worth it. Here are some ideas to help you, so that you can make the most of a blogger event.

Think About Styling

If you think about bloggers and the posts that they share, they’re going to get a much more engaged reaction if they’re accompanied by photographs.

That photograph might be in a blog post, Instagram pictures, tweets, or Instagram stories. The better the event looks, then the more it will be shared.

So think about the styling of your blogger event. If you have products to display, can you display them in a useful and aesthetically pleasing way? Choose food that will look good together or even something like pretty cocktails or a pressurized mini keg to make serving drinks look good. Perhaps run with one or two colours as a theme for the event. Just make sure that it looks good; it will be good for you, the blogger, and their following.

Sharing and Hashtags

Bloggers are likely to want to share the things that they’re doing or attending with their audience. This means you have to create a reason for them to share it.

One of the things to do is have a hashtag for the blogger event. It helps you to check on all social posts, as well as getting their followers intrigued about what it’s all about.

It’s a good idea to offer a prize or free product for the ‘best’ social post that day, or the best photo shared. It then incentivises more and more of them to share about the event on the day.

Mix Strategy with Fun

While the event is to get your brand shared online, it’s a great time to show the fun side of your brand too. It’s an event and not a board meeting after all!

So look for ways to show your brand’s ethos, as well as your products and services, but in a fun and engaging way. For instance, a shoe brand could offer the bloggers the chance to customise a shoe that they will then be able to take home.

You could offer another pair of shoes to the person that shares the best Insta-story of their creation too.

There are tonnes of ways you can make a blogger event exciting and engaging. It would be a disaster if it was a complete flop. So avoid that by using the tips in this post!
